“設計激活世遺”國際文創大賽于2020年6月28日正式啟動，2020年10月28日截稿。大賽誠邀國（境）內外從事設計行業領域的全球設計師個人、企業、機構以及院校學生等設計愛好者，依據廣東省唯一的世界文化遺產一一開平碉樓與村落、中國首個世界名廚之鄉一一開平獨特的文旅和美食資源，用當代美學和互聯網科技加以設計提升，活化利用，特別在智慧文旅開發、僑鄉旅游手信、開平家宴美食三方面激活極富魅力的開平文旅和美食資源。
  “最受歡迎獎”線上展評投票正式啟動！
  最受歡迎獎頒予所獲網絡熱度最高的作品。依據大賽評審團挑選出的30份優秀作品，將于2020年10月30日起進行展評，為期一周（即2020年11月6日24點截止投票），經統計后所獲票數最高的作品即獲最受歡迎獎。
